Hi neighbors! I wanted to share that I’m running for Columbia Heights City Council.
My husband and I moved here 10 years ago, and during that time I’ve served two terms on the Planning Commission, as well as the Charter Commission and 2025 Comprehensive Plan advisory group. I also help organize the Kordiak Park Halloween Spooktacular, which is always the best day of the year.
These last few months have been awful for our community. Seeing families, friends, neighbors, and children targeted by ICE has been heartbreaking. Like many of us, it pushed me to step up and help protect and support all residents of our city. This experience changed how I see the world and convinced me it was time to run for council.
I care deeply about this city and want to help keep Columbia Heights welcoming, affordable, sustainable, and safe. That includes safer and greener streets, supporting our diverse local businesses that are hurting, and finding new ways to build community and magnify what makes this city so wonderful.
If you see me around town—working in my yard, walking my dogs around Kordiak Park, or at community events—please say hi. And reach out anytime if you want to share ideas or concerns about our city. I’d especially love to hear what you think we could improve in Columbia Heights over the next few years.
I’ll be sharing more about my campaign soon, but in the meantime, thank you for being neighbors who have made my life so much better. Let’s keep that rolling.
